Fuel – 2008

Well this one is in the books so I have some time to get back to blogging. I wanted to drop some thoughts from the week and say thanks to all those involved. God did more than I ever could have imagined and I am thankful that he is in control and I am not. Here are a few highlights from the week.

Six Piece Suit with Chris Coleman – These guys killed it and were the best possible band we could have had. They loved on our kids and lead them in worship.

Student Leaders – We gave several students the chance to lead this week and they made camp happen. Their leadership and service was what set the tone for everything God did.

Adult leaders – The student team laid it on the line and probably got a combined 10 hours of sleep, but they did it because they wanted to see life change and God honored their efforts.

Just us – This was the best possible thing for our students at this moment. It was so great to be just us and have the place to ourselves and just circle up and get real. We laughed and cried and hurt and healed, but we did it together.

Bonclarken – This was a great facility and the staff was amazing

Life Change – We brought home 48 students that were different than they came and 20 leaders who changed as well.

It was worth every moment and every struggle and I know that this was God’s will for this moment. Thank you Father for who you are and what you did this week. I know you will continue to move in our lives this summer as we follow after you.

FUEL

This is the last week to sign up for Fuel. I am fired up about Camp. We are already taking a great group and are going to have an awesome time together. We are going to do all the fun stuff, but I know that God is going to work in our group and in our lives through this week. I am so looking forward to what will happen.

Don’t miss this. If you have a student who is not signed up, get them signed up so they will not miss this.

4.28 weeks until Fuel

Guys I am getting more and more excited about Fuel. The first ever MLC Summer camp is going to be awesome. We are going to have Six Piece Suit playing for us as well as some awesome events planned. I am going to own in paintball and show my Ninja skills on the ropes course and the zip line. Most of all I am pumped up about getting to hang out with the students of MLC. We have some truly awesome students and I love that they are so stinking cool. So if you or your student hasn’t signed up, please get them registered before the cut off of May 18th. We have a few spots left, but I think we are going to fill up soon.

Fuel-6.34 weeks and counting

I cannot wait. I am so excited about FEUL this summer I can’t stand it. We had a great meeting last night with about 15-20 students getting involved for the first time. This is going to be an amazing experience that will change the lives of all who participate. God is all over this and we are going to have a great time. This is also the real beginning of our 40 days of Summer. This is going to be a great summer as we connect with eachother and with God. Do not miss this weekend we are going to talk about some major stuff.
