Move….toward the heart of God

February 25, 2008

We have created tons of ways to move and can go any direction in our life, but the only significant direction we can move is toward and with the heart of God. This is something that God is yelling into my heart and I feel that this is going to really flesh out into our ministry over the next few weeks.

We are starting a new series this weekend called Move and I don’t think I have ever been as excited as I am about this series. We are going to talk about what it looks like and why we should move with the heart of God. I feel like God is all over this thing (mostly because I did not get arrested shooting a video for this series) and that our student ministry is never going to be the same. Pray for this series and our ministry as God is doing something that I can’t explain but I know that I am about to bust.

So don’t miss a week and allow God to move you.

The bigger they are…

December 20, 2007

the more bones they break when they fall on you. The more we are able to grow as a church and a student ministry the more I am thankful for our volunteers. We have a ton going on this month and it would be impossible to do any of it if we did not have such amazing volunteers. Several of them have met with me every night this week as we are planning and creating our new HS environment. So to all of our volunteers I sincerely appreciate you and Farah and I love and admire all that you are.

New HS Environment

December 13, 2007

As many of you know we are creating a brand new HS environment to be lined up with our adult services. I want to see what type of creativity we have out there. So if you have a suggestion on what to name our new environment I want to hear it. So submit your best and brightest and we might choose something from here.

Shout out

November 6, 2007

This is a post to throw out a big thanks to all of our studnet ministy volunteers. These guys are incredible and are awesome servants of Christ. If you are a student at MLC make sure you thank all the adults you see in our ministry.

We had a meeting last night and I walked away with two truths. Number one is that communication is the key to great realtionships. We have some great volunteers that want to communicate their ideas. Number two is that God is up to something big at MLC. We have several passionate leaders who care about students and I know that is because God is wanting to use our church to reach the students and families of Forsyth County.

 Keep looking for more updates.
